Hi, I’m zoë.
I’m a gardener and professional garden designer living and working in York, North Yorkshire.
I have a lifelong passion for plants and 15 years experience working in the Horticulture industry. I started my career in horticulture working for a garden centre in London and went on to run my own professional garden maintenance business. During my time in London I took on more and more planting design work, designing indoor planting installations for corporate events and retailers and award winning planting design for stands at RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
Since moving back to Yorkshire in 2020, I completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Garden Design with Distinction from the British Academy of Garden Design and have gone on to design gardens across York and the surrounding areas.
My Approach
My aim is to design beautiful and considered outdoor spaces that meet the needs of my clients whilst creating space where nature and wildlife are supported and can flourish.
PERSONAL APPROACH
Everyone's dream garden is different, every design needs a personal approach. It’s very important to me to spend time with my clients during the early design process so I can listen to what they want from the garden so we can create an outdoor space they can enjoy for years to come.
BIODIVERSITY & SUSTAINABILITY
In a world where we have a biodiversity crisis, it is important to me that my designs create space for wildlife and the plants I chose promote biodiversity. Where possible, I incorporate sustainable practices and materials.
